About the Institute
Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota is a joint venture of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Rajasthan Government with Industries in Not for profit Public-Private Partnership (N-PPP) model. Institute has very supportive and active Industry partners namely, CAIRN India Ltd., VAKRANGI Software, GENPACT and NEI Ltd.
IIIT Kota was established in the year 2013 and is mentored by MNIT Jaipur. At present, the classes of IIIT Kota are held at MNIT Jaipur campus. IIIT Kota students (both boys and girls) avail the hostel and other facilities of MNIT Jaipur. The institute has been allotted land in Kota by the Rajasthan Government for its permanent campus where the construction work is going on and the institute is going to be shifted soon.
The new batch of B.Tech students for the session 2023-24 shall be admitted in its permanent campus in Kota.

Academic Structure
The institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) program in two streams,
1. Computer Science and Engineering (180 Seats)
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering (90 Seats)
In general, the duration of B. Tech. program is 8-semesters (4-years). The institute also offers M.Tech and Ph.D. program.

Facilities
The institute is currently housed in MNIT Jaipur campus. Classes are conducted in the MNIT Jaipur campus and the hostelers can avail the same hostel facilities as that of MNIT Jaipur students. However, due to shortage of hostel rooms at MNIT Jaipur, students may be accommodated as per directives from the mentor institute i.e. MNIT Jaipur.
The institute has its own library with sufficient number of books and book bank facility. Other facilities from MNIT Jaipur - labs, gym, sports, medical facilities, institute events are accessible to IIIT Kota students as well.
Student Life at Institute
During the initial years, MNIT Jaipur being mentor Institute shall be offering available resources to IIIT Kota. MNIT Jaipur campus is very conveniently located at Jaipur (Rajasthan) which is also known as Pink City.
