About the Institute

Establishment of the Institute:_

Institute of Engineering and Technology (IoET) is an AICTE approved Engineering Institution established in the year 2022 under the aegis of Dr. H. S. Gour University, Sagar, formerly, University of Saugor, established on 18th July 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour (Nov. 26, 1870 – Dec. 25, 1949) by his lifetime savings. The establishment of this institute is an extension of the vision of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Neelima Gupta and the members of the Advisory Committee, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Jain, Prof. (Dr.) Diwakar Shukla, Prof. (Dr.) U.K. Patil, Prof. (Dr.) Shree Bhagwat and Dr. Ranjeet Rajak. 

The institute is operational under the directorship of Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Verma (Director-in-charge). 

_Vision and Aim :


IoET aims to impart multidisciplinary technical expertise  and offers various undergraduate degree courses in the fields of Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Fashion and apparel Engineering, Food Technology Engineering, Computer Sciences Engineering, Dairy Engineering. The institute has expert faculty members in various fields including authors, industry expert, researchers, and patent holders from renowned institutes; strive continuously to ensure that student are exposed to various opportunities in life.

Academic Structure

AS PER THE AICTE, NEW DELHI NORMS
Reservation of seats for B.Tech programme:
i) As per Government of India rules, the benefit of reservation shall be given only to those sections, which are listed in the central list published by the Government of India.
(ii) Candidates belonging to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, General-Economically Weaker Section (General-EWS) and Person With Disability (PWD) categories will be given reservation as per the Government of India rules i.e. OBC(NCL) - 27%, SC-15%, ST-7.5%, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)-10%. For Person with Disability (PWD) candidates, 5% seats shall be reserved on horizontal basis, subject to the condition that the candidate fulfills the other minimum eligibility requirements. Five percent (5%) of the seats are reserved (Horizontal reservation) for widows/wards/wives of the Armed Forces Personnel and Ex-Servicemen (GOI MoD letter No. 3547/AS(R) 94 dated 03 Jun 1994.

There are various girls and boys hostel in lush green environment of University give motivation and natural exposure to students. Institute has collaboration with various departments of university which give great opportunities to student for their extracurricular activities, technical enrichment. This is frequently the most rewarding experience in IoET.

The  Institute of Engineering and Technology had its students intake for the first batch in 2022. However, given that it has been established under the aegis of Dr. Harisingh Gour V.V., [A Central University] Sagar,[M.P.] which has a strong alumni base of its own, this will provide the needed supportive guidance and opportunities for the students.

IoET have a large number of clubs and organizations to choose from. A music and dance club, photography club, fine arts society, innovation and creative cell, green cell, literary clubs, theatre clubs, Happiness Club and other Clubs at University. There are also a variety of indoor and outdoor sports groups and teams to choose from. Join a few clubs to take a break from your studies. University have culture to organize national International conferences, seminars, symposia, short term training programs, internship programs, industrial visit, hands on workshops, expert talks, job fairs supported and funded by reputed agencies like CSIR, UGC, AICTE, ISRO, DRDO, MPCST, IEEE etc. which give great practical exposure to students regarding technical enrichments._

Location and Availability

Dr. Harisingh Gour university Sagar is about 13 KM away from Dhana Air Stripe,  Saugor Railway Station is approximately 4 KM away from the campus and Sagar Bus Station is about 3 KM away. Students can also use local transport to reach Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar. It is near to Civil Lines area of City. IoET is situated at down hills of University at Patharia Jat road.
