Financial information and fees payable for the B.Tech. Program and Integrated M.Sc. (Mathematics & Computing) 2025 at BIT Mesra; Off Campus Patna

 (A) Fee payable at the time of admission and in each subsequent semester for B.Tech. Program

1. All other payments must be made through online payment gateway. For details, please go through the instructions given on the Institute website. [Use net-banking or credit card to make the payment].
2. Students will be expected to provide themselves with stationery and textbooks, etc. as prescribed for different subjects.
3. The Institute reserves the right to revise the fees and other charges at any stage.
4. For rules regarding refund of fees on withdrawal, please see separate Notice on Notice Boards.

B. Eligibility criteria for availing Fee Waiver for candidates admitted in the B.Tech. program:

Note: Above mentioned rules shall be applicable from the date of Admission. Continuation of scholarship beyond first semester shall be based on GPA secured by student as per Institute norms.

(C) Fee payable at the time of admission and in each subsequent semester for Integrated M.Sc. (Mathematics & Computing) Program

Institute follows Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) course structure, which provides opportunity to opt choice-based electives along with the course subject.

There is also provision of completing minor courses of other branch along with the subjects of main branch.

There is a provision for branch change (B.Tech. 2^nd year students (3^rd semester)) subject to availability of seats and considering the following criteria:

1. Maximum 10% of the existing students of any discipline/branch shall be considered to change the discipline/branch purely on performance merit basis.
2. Students who have completed all the examinations of the first two semesters in the first attempt and have minimum CGPA as under, shall be considered for such branch sliding:

a) General Category/EWS/OBC/EBC – 8.0 and above

b) SC/ST Category -  7.0 and above

Alumni portal “_www.alumni.bitmesra.ac.in” which was launched in February 2020 have got very good response. This platform offers amazing features that enables alumni to stay connected with their college and friends as well as explore professional opportunities. Presently, the institute has its own data bank of about 40000+ registered alumni in the portal. The portal has become a useful tool for engaging alumni across the world.

The institute has also registered an alumni association in the name of BITMAA (Birla Institute of Technology Mesra Alumni Association) to strengthen the relationship and act as an apex body for alumni engagement and outreach. All the chapters across the globe are having their representations in BITMAA.

8. Ms. Sanya Sinha- 2020-24 batch,  B.Tech-ECE, BIT PATNA has received a full-time internship offer from University of Warwick, UK in the field of Data Science and Social Good.

The Institute has comprehensive facilities for outdoor sports and games. BIT hosts several extracurricular activities, necessary for overall healthy development of young mind. It has a big play ground, basket ball courts, volleyball courts, lawn tennis courts, badminton courts, well-equipped gymnasiums with modern multi-gym facilities are available. In addition, we have a well-trained coach and guide to support and encourage sports activities for the students.

There are large number of Student Societies and Clubs, which supports students to nurture their hobbies and other creative talents for relaxation and entertainment. These Societies and Clubs include, PRATIBIMB Dramatics & Cultural Society, Megapixel Photographic Club, Students Chapter of IEEE, Literally Club, DIVYA Society for Soft Skills, Robotics Society, SAE Chapter- Automobile, ASME Student Society, IGNITE Technological Society etc.

 BIT PATNA provides the students with many opportunities to demonstrate their talent on a platform much wider than their immediate peer circle in the form of sports events like the INTER COLLEGE SPORTS FEST, ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET and various inter/intra state sports meet. For the up-liftment and empowerment of the underprivileged children groups, National Social Services (NSS) group of the institute organizes various activities like National level RD & Pre RD Camps, Tree Plantation Ceremony, Blood Donation Camp, and Yoga Day, Cancer Day, Youth Parliament etc.
