There is a provision for branch change after the first year subject to the merit (the first year CGPA) and the following conditions: 

1. Seat availability in the intended branch
2. Passed all the first year courses in first attempt
3. No Disciplinary Action
   
4. The students having 9.0 and above CGPA are allowed branch change upto 120% of the intake of the desired branch.
5. The strength of the branch from which a student intend to move to another branch should not get reduced to less than 80% of its (admitted) strength. 

_Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) has a lush green campus with a lot of trees and birds which provides a conducive environment for studies. The campus sight at sunrise and sunset becomes so lively with the twittering of the birds.

The classrooms at GSV are air-conditioned and equipped with multimedia and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning. Classrooms are designed to promote maximum interaction between the faculty and students. Each classroom is provided with internet connectivity.

_The University has separate hostels for the male and female students. The hostels are fully air conditioned with the modern facilities. The Hostels are equipped with the Wi-Fi connectivity. The students are provided with messing facilities on campus. The campus mess is operated by a Contractor; and has a dining space for more than 250 students.

Classrooms are designed to promote maximum interaction between the faculty and students. Each classroom has internet connectivity through wireless local area network.

GSV offers financial aid (scholarship) for up to 20% (10% under each income slab) of the admitted eligible students based on merit and family income for each of the following family income slabs:

Financial Aid (Annual) is available in two slabs:

 (a)      Slab-I :  Gross Family Annual Income below 1.0 Lac

            Financial Aid:  100% of Tuition Fee and 50% of Hostel Fee

 (b)      Slab-II:  Gross Family Annual Income between Rs. 1.0 Lac and 3.0 Lacs

            Financial Aid:  50% of Tuition Fee and 25% of Hostel Fee

The Financial Aid will be determined based on merit -cum-means of the applicant i.e. Admission merit in the First Year & Academic performance in the subsequent years and the annual family income. 20% of the Financial Aids are reserved for female students

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) provides placement support to the graduating students. University has set-up a Career Development Cell (CDC) which organizes training programs and campus placements.  The CDC is manned by a full time Placement Officer and a faculty as Chairman. The CDC makes every effort to facilitate placements of the graduating students by inviting recruiters for campus placements. There has been good placements of the batches graduated so far. The recruiters, at GSV, include public and private companies viz. Siemens, Alstom, L&T, AARVEE Associates, Nippon Koei, Jindal Stainless Steel, TCE, DFCCIL, RITES, HITACHI Vantara, Tata Projects, Mahindra Logistics, Transworld, PGP Glass, etc.
