About the Institute

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology(NIELIT) is a Deemed to be University under the Distinct category as per UGC (Institution Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2023. It is the only University under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Its main campus is in Ropar, Punjab, 45 kilometres from Chandigarh, on the Chandigarh–Jalandhar National Highway. NIELIT Deemed to be University has 11 constituent centres at Agartala, Aizawl, Ajmer, Aurangabad, Calicut, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Gorakhpur, Patna and Srinagar.

Fee comprises of following components at the time of admission
Admission Fee:	Rs.5000/-	At the time of admission
Security Deposit:	Rs.5000/-	At the time of admission
Academic Fee: (Includes Student Development Fee, I Card and Library Card Fee, Marksheet and Certificate Printing etc)	Rs.5000/-	Chargeable in every odd semester
