Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN) is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under Public-Private Partnership Scheme by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. IIITN has been declared as an “Institution of National Importance” under the provisions of Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017, started functioning since year 2016-17

At present the Institute is functioning under the aegis of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, (Formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development) and supported by Department of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra and Tata Consultancy Services, Mumbai as Industry Partner.

Within a short span of less than three years IIIT Nagpur started attracting talented students, who want to work on challenging problems in the field of Information Technology. IIIT Nagpur also started attracting good number of Industry professionals to pursue research in cutting age technologies.

Presently IIIT Nagpur is operating from Permanent campus at Survey No. 140, 141/1, Behind Baristor Sheshrao Wankhede Shetkari Sahakari Soot Girni, Village Waranga, PO Dongargaon (Butibori), District-Nagpur (Maharashtra) 441108

The institute is committed to get itself recognized as a leader in Information Technology related science and engineering. It wishes to establish a firm foundation for education and research with a high-quality faculty base and having a vision to be the fountainhead of new ideas and innovations in technology and science. IIIT, Nagpur is to create an ambiance in which new ideas, research and scholarship flourish and from which the leaders and innovators and IT-entrepreneurs of tomorrow emerge.

The Institute targets to develop strong links with the industry to make teaching and research more relevant resulting into direct benefits to the Industry. The target is to develop extensive collaboration with the industry on various fronts including Consultancy, Sponsored Research Projects, Students Internships and Joint Workshops/Seminars etc. Through enhanced Industry Interaction, the Institute is targeting 100% placement for its students through campus selection.

Institute targets to develop a Incubation Centre/ In-house Information Technology Park in the Permanent Campus to earn corpus fund and internships for the students in the campus itself.

The Institute shall explore the possibility of entering into Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with reputed Universities / Institutions of different Countries for establishment of Students Exchange Programme.

The Institute runs BTech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). It also runs PhD courses for CSE and ECE.

 Institute intend to start 4 new courses Viz B.Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), BTech CSE (Data Science & Analytics, BTech CSE (Human Computer Interaction & Gaming) and BTech ECE (Internet Of Things).

Senate is supreme academic administrative body. Under Senate the respective Board of Studies functions for the academic administration with the guidelines prescribed by the Senate. Well qualified and highly experienced faculty is available in IIIT Nagpur. Faculty from VNIT Nagpur to teach fundamental and important courses. Whereas the remaining will comprise of Regular Faculty, Adjunct, Visiting faculty members especially at IIIT Nagpur who will be well qualified and experienced professionals from industry or retired from NITs and IITs.

3. Vaibhav Harihar Agasti (CSE Student 2020 pass out) completed internship at Muma College of Business, University of South Florida.

4. Mr. Rutwik Page (CSE Student 2021 Pass out) Final Year Student has received an official offer to join Department of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, as a member of the MSc in Economics.

5. Ms. Shivani Dhok (ECE Student 2021 pass out) completed her internship at National Sun Yan-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

6. Ms. Sonal Ganvir (CSE Student of 2021 pass out) completed her internship at Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York, USA.

7. Prateek Singh (CSE Student of 2021 pass out) completed his internship at Stepswatch, France.

8. Mr. Tarun Saxena (CSE Students 2022 pass out) doing internship at National University of Singapore, Singapore.

1st Batch of students has passed out and 30 students out of 46 got placement through campus interview with highest package offered is Rs. 20.0 Lakhs per annum and average package of Rs. 7.70 Lakhs per annum. 6 students have opted for higher studies.

2^nd Batch of students of 2021 passed and out of 141 registered students of the 93 students are placed through campus interview in various renowned companies like Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Deloitte, SMS Data Tech, Japan, Tech Mahindra, TCS, IBM etc with Rs. 46.75 Lakhs as maximum package and Rs. 8.44 Lakhs as average package per annum. 5 students have opted for higher studies.

83 students out of 150 of final year 2020-21 have been placed for one semester Internship with highest stipend of Rs. 90,000/- in various companies like Nutanix, Inception R&D, Bangalore, TRDDC, BARC, NARL ISRO, AP, Clever Tap, Mumbai, The Solar Labs, Noida, Bosch Ltd. 24 students are already placed through campus interview with Rs. 19 Lakhs as maximum package and Rs. 10.43 Lakhs as average package per annum.

76 students out of 143 of current final year 2021- 22 have been placed for internship in the 7^th Semester with the highest stipend of Rs. 65,000/- per month at Zeotap India Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, many more companies like TCS, Inception R&D, HDFC, NVIDIA, Juspay, Silicon Labs, Clevertap, Mevyn Systems, Siemens Healthineers, National INstruments, DRDO LRDE, came for hiring interns from IIIT, Nagpur.

As IIIT Nagpur is in PPP mode the Industry interaction is of very high order. The Industry Partner is,
