·       Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And  Management  (IITRAM), situated in the throbbing city of  Ahmedabad in Maninagar  area, is established as a  University under Gujarat State Legislature Act no. 5 of 2013.

·       IITRAM is governed by the Board of Governors (BoG). BoG  comprises of Chairman, Director General, three ex-officio Secretary from Government of Gujarat, two academicians,  One VC or ex-VC and three experts from different areas.

·       The Academic Council is the principal academic body of the  University. It consists of the Director General (Chairman of  the council), three academicians, two directors, two Deans  and Faculties of University school.

·       The Finance Committee consists of the Chairman, one  member of BoG, Director General, Secretory of Gujarat  Finance Department, ex-officio, and one expert in the field of  finance nominated by BoG.

·       Registrar is the Secretary of the BoG, the Academic Council  as well as the Finance Committee.

·       The university has one School of Engineering academic unit with offering three undergraduate B.Tech program in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical streams. The Post Graduate program in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering has been started from academic session 2016-17. The Institute has started Ph. D. programs from the academic session 2016-17.

·      An orientation program for newly admitted students along with their parents is on 1st August 2017 and classes are commenced from 2nd August 2017. Please refer Academic Calendar

The institute may permit a student to change from one branch to another after first two semester strictly on the basis of merit of the applicants. It will be maximum 10% to the subject of availability of seats based on merit after first two semesters. 

Only those students will be eligible for consideration for a change of a branch after the second semester, who have 

·      Completed all the credits prescribed in the first two semesters of their studies in their first attempts 

·      Obtained a CPI not lower than 8.0 at the end of semester 2

Placements

For the very first batch of placement the formal campus placements involving company interviews for the academic year 2016-17 started in August 2016. The students from Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in the fields of Civil and Electrical participated in the placement process.

For the second batch of placement the formal campus placements involving company interviews for the academic year 2017-18 started in August 2017. The students from Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in the fields of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical and the students from Masters of Technology (M.Tech) programs in the field of Urban Infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure and Industrial Infrastructure participated in the placement process.

Internships

Internships undertaken, are not only essential to provide a holistic understanding of the curriculum to the students, and act as an essential supplement to the learning received in the university, but they also enable the Institute to continuously align the Curriculum to Industrial needs and standards.

Industrial Internships are often a stepping stone towards landing a good job, and are effective speaking points that are well reflected on one’s Curriculum Vitae. Multiple Industrial Internships over the Course of Program enable a student to demonstrate the breadth of his/her expertise and helps develop familiarity with different Industrial norms, working culture, deliverability and team work.

IITRAM students undergo internship for a tenure of 1-3 months after the end of every even semester during their summer break. Even the first year students. Even the first year students are placed in companies to undergo internship after the end of their 2nd semester.
